If Companies House or the CIC Regulator rejects your application because of the documents CIC Tools generated, we correct them free of charge and help you resubmit. If we cannot put it right, we refund what you paid.
This covers the wording, formatting and structure of the CIC36 and Articles. It does not cover rejections for reasons outside the documents, such as the activities themselves, a name issue or identity verification, though we will still help you understand the letter and revise your answers.

What documents do I receive?
Your CIC36 Community Interest Statement and your Articles of Association, both written from your answers and formatted for Companies House, plus access to six tailored policy generators and step-by-step submission guidance.
Which CIC structure does this support?
A community interest company limited by guarantee, which is the structure most new CICs use. If you need a CIC limited by shares, contact us before you start.
Do you submit the application for me?
No. CIC Tools writes the documents in the wording and format Companies House requires. You upload them through Companies House's online application service, complete the rest of the form and pay their £115 fee. Companies House sends the decision to you directly.
When do I pay?
Only when you're ready to download. You can answer every question and review your progress first. The pack is £29 one-off with no subscription.
Is the Companies House fee included?
No. Companies House charges £115 separately when you submit online, so the normal total is £144: £29 to CIC Tools and £115 to Companies House.
Are policies included?
Yes. The formation pack includes six tailored policy generators: Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Data Protection, Equal Opportunities, Complaints and Conflict of Interest. You do not need to buy the standalone Policy Pack as well.
What happens if there is a problem with the documents?
If Companies House or the CIC Regulator rejects your application because of the documents we generated, we correct them free of charge and help you resubmit. If we cannot put it right, we refund what you paid. Rejections for reasons outside the documents, such as the activities themselves, a name issue or identity verification, are not covered by the refund, but we will still help you understand the letter and revise your answers.
Can I return and finish later?
Yes. Your answers are saved as you go. Come back in the same browser to carry on, or leave your email and we will send you a link that reopens your draft.
